I had an old version of this dryer, absolutely love it and. Works great and curls hair while drying, giving lots of volume to your hair.

I purchased this for my mother ... she was looking at these but mentioned that she was not sure if she'd like it, so she did not want me to buy anything expensive and she would upgrade if the concept worked. I had looked at the yellow Blow Dry Bar version of this in a store ... which retailed at around $100 - $200. That version, despite the cost, was only a smaller brush OR a larger brush. This came with two brush sizes. I was very skeptical about the quality due to the low price. That proved to be unfounded as my mother said that she really, really liked this one and there was no need to upgrade to a more expensive brand.

One thing she really mentioned liking is that the chord swivels/rotates as the unit is being used so the chord doesn't get tangled up as you turn the appliance during use. It's lightweight and easily maneuverable and the different brushes are easy to attach and take off.

She mentioned it is so much easier to use this than the traditional method of holding the blow drier in one hand and a brush in the other. The hot setting is very hot/too hot ... so the low setting is all she uses, with a quick blast of cool air at the end. She has medium/short hair above her shoulders and fine hair, not thick, so this works well for her. She doesn't do any curling or waving and keeps her hair straight.

The big brush is good for the body, near the roots. The smaller brush is more for the under part of your hair. It is nice to have both brushes to use ... many more expensive kits only have one brush attachment. This also comes with a blow drier attachment. While it's not as powerful in terms of dispersing air as a regular blow drier, it does a good job of drying hair without having to use a brush. Don't expect to go from fully wet to fully dry in a minute or two, but it will give you a little bit more shape and body, especially on fine hair.

Overall, for under twenty bucks, this thing is amazing. She had fully intended to upgrade to a Dyson after but will keep this unit. It's a little lightweight and flimsy ... but it works as it should. The value and performance are fantastic and it is highly recommended.

First, let me clarify that I do not live in the United States, so I must ensure that whatever I order will function properly, or so I hope because returning to my home country is more expensive than purchasing an item. Having said that, it took me a few weeks before purchasing this kit. For starters, my hair isn't as long as the models for all hot air kits, but I didn't want to feel isolated if you know what I mean! OK, so after all of my research and reading, this was the first one to offer a kit for short hair, imagine my surprise and even more when I checked the price, this is a steal.
Then I bought it and waited for it to arrive in my country. I received it after two weeks in transit/customs clearance, etc. I proceeded to wash my hair, do all the necessary preparations before using the dryer, and then style it, when I was ready to use the kit, I placed the small 1" brush and it didn't work, then I placed the larger 1 1/2" brush and it didn't work because the bristles do not hold my hair, I must keep my hand on top of it to make it work. Usually shouldn't be a bad thing, but the barrel gets too hot and it hurts. Well, I will keep using it and if maybe I did something wrong today, I will return and provide an update.

I had another hair dryer brush but it's so bulbous compared to this one and I could not change the heads. I love how light and small this little one is, easy to transport for travel. It holds well in hand too as it isn't too bulky and the cord turns for smooth usage.
I use it to dry the bulk of my hair with the regular head. Then I switch to the large brush for the roots (for more volume) and finally I switch to the little brush to create some curls. I'm new at doing curls with it, it works but I gotta get better at it. I bought it because my friend does her hair with it (curls) and it's so stunning I had to get it and try it on my hair. For the price I am debating about buying a second one for my mom but she lives overseas and the prongs are different there.

I upgraded to the Dyson air wrap recently and I still find myself picking this up instead. Almost a 600 dollar price difference and this makes my hair smoother and dries way quicker. Had this thing for over 2 years and used it twice a week and has not broken. So shocked honestly.

Love this, only thing I hate is there’s a little screw towards the end of the barrel which gets my hair caught a lot….. I’m sure it’s damaging so I have to avoid letting my hair get that far done but it’s hard to do since you're supposed to keep turning to get a curl.., nonetheless for the price it’s good.

I’d recommend taking the attachments off when storing. I noticed that they aren’t super sturdy and I’m sure if they bend it will damage the clip to lock them in.

The heat settings are not the best, I’ve tried all of them but the only way I can get any results is by using high. I do use a primer which includes heat protectant and frizz tamer. I believe this hot air brush does cause breakage & frizz though so you will need a product to prevent that.

Overall good for the price

I have the bigger Revlon Dryer Brush 2.0 and that dries my long thick wavy hair, but since I have it cut in layers to tame it, I needed the smaller 1" barrel of this styling brush to finish off the top layers. You have to be careful with this, it's fragile feeling and not made to dry thick long hair. I think this would work well with short and medium lengths, and just go slow and careful with it, and don't try to dry soaking wet hair with it.

Even tho I have wavy hair that loves to curl, I thought this 1" barrel would add curl but I'm a little disappointed. It definitely adds LIFT, which I needed on top, when you apply the brush to the roots and dry them there. The barrels get hot enough to curl the hair, so I thought I could hold a curl in place for a moment, but I noticed that if I hold the barrel long enough to get what I would get from a curling iron, like maybe 3-4 seconds, I'm really just over-drying my poor hair. And if I use it as a curl-inducer with wet hair, I have to be really careful not to pull too hard on this brush because it does seem a bit fragile. (I've read the complaints here about the barrels breaking off and I can see that happening if not using this tool carefully.)

BTW, I did just get this travel case as I searched Amazon for this Revlon dryer, and it holds the bigger Revlon 2.0 Brush PLUS this Styling Brush plus the two barrel attachments. Plus clips and comb in a top compartment. Finally can take brushes when traveling and not smash them. Thought I'd pass along this great find! (You'll probably see this case come up when you search Revlon hair-drying products.)

This is a replacement for basically the same model. The older model’s on/off/heat setting was accomplished by twisting the bottom of the dryer. This new model has a slider which is often challenging for me to use if my hand is even slightly damp so I use a towel between my finger and the slider. Even then I sometimes the movement overshoots the setting I want. Overall, however, I love this dryer.
